Living with something long-term
Long-term health concerns rarely stay in one place.
Who Andrea sees
Living with something long-term
Sleep, energy, digestion, mood and the demands of everyday life tend to become part of the picture too, and appointments elsewhere often only have time for one of them.
Andrea’s first consultation is unhurried. She will ask about your diagnosis and history, what has changed over time, what a good day and a hard day look like, and what matters most to you now.
Alongside your medical care
Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are complementary approaches. Andrea works alongside your GP, consultant and any treatment you’re receiving, and will never ask you to stop or change prescribed medication. Before any herbal prescription, she reviews everything you take, prescribed and over the counter.
At a pace you can manage
Appointments can be adapted to your energy on the day, whether that means a shorter treatment, a different position or more time to rest. If travelling is difficult, herbal consultations are available online.

I would, without reservation, recommend Andrea to anyone, secure in the knowledge that they would receive compassionate, knowledgeable care.”
Common questions
Will I need to stop or change my medication?
No. Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are complementary approaches. Andrea will never ask you to stop or change prescribed medication. Before any herbal prescription, she reviews everything you take to check for interactions.
Should I tell my GP or consultant?
Yes. It’s a good idea to let your GP or consultant know you’re having acupuncture or taking Chinese herbs, and to tell Andrea about any changes to your medical care.
How often will I need to come?
It depends on you, your history and what you’d like from treatment. Andrea will suggest a rhythm at your first appointment and review it with you as you go.
What if travelling is difficult?
Chinese herbal medicine consultations are available online. Acupuncture appointments can also be adapted to your energy on the day.
